A country where people smoke...

You ever wondered why people smoke so much in Thailand? Even the tourist smoke more than in average compared to their home countries. Well, here is one obvious reason: If you buy nicotine chewing gum, they will sell them 12 a-piece - For the hilarious price of 200 (or more) THB (around 33 Danish kroners!). For what resembles 12 cigarettes! If you on the other hand buy 20 cigarettes, they will cost you from around 50 THB (around 8 Danish Kroners). In other words: A piece of Nicotine chewing gum will cost you around 13 times more than a cigarette. One wonders why the government want people to smoke rather than getting rid of the smoking :-)
