Goodbye to Koh Tao...

I felt in Denmark that time was running faster and faster. However, time also flies amazingly fast when diving and having fun in Thailand. After 2.5 months at beautiful Koh Tao, it was Today time to leave. I left with the morning boat, feeling a bit hung over from yesterday's goodbye 'party'. Not really a party but a good and fun night with several of my Dive Master colleagues and friends. With beer drinking, and dancing on the beach. I had two alarm clocks alerting me this morning to get me out of the bed at 7 o'clock. And admitted, I slept all the way on the ferry from Koh Tao to Koh Samui :-). I am quite sure that I will return to Koh Tao since it is a place you simply cannot leave: "You can check out any time you like, but you can never leave" (Eagles, Hotel California).
Now I safely arrived to my small luxury resort here at Koh Samui; swimming pool, air condition, 'apartment' rather than a room, Wifi etc. Tomorrow I will fly to Malaysia. I could easily have taken a train instead by first going to the mainland and then taking the train south, passing the border on foot etc, but that would mean passing through the most un-secure southern area of Thailand, and I just felt that flying would be nicer; though slightly more expensive (flying in Asia is though dirt cheap; I pay around 150 euro for the two flights, however, a train would have cost me less than 50 euros). So here I am at Koh Samui, and tomorrow morning I will fly to Kuala Lumpur and from there to Khota Baru in the northern part of Malaysia. Today's photos are from yesterday's 'party', the last look at Koh Tao when leaving and a photo of my nice room at Koh Samui where I just arrived.
