Diving in the Red Sea for the first time

After arriving late afternoon yesterday to Hurghada in Egypt, today was my first full day here. And why not use my first day submerged into the Red Sea? I found a small diving company and we went on a full day trip, from 8 morning till 4 afternoon. A full day trip means two dives around here.
And I must admit that diving in Egypt is very special. Not only because you see different fish than in Thailand, but mainly because of the great visibility in the Red Sea. Less than 20 meter visibility is rare. In Thailand, I have seen similar or better visibility than today only 3-4 times!
And the great visibility also means great underwater photos. I did have a problem with my camera housing flooding slightly on the first dive (2-3 centiliters found its way into my camera so for the rest of the dive I was holding my camera upside down to avoid water directly into the camera. And the photos from first dive became very 'fogged' due to the water inside. But my camera survived luckily which was the main concern I had! It did give some hickups, but after 1 hour drying in the sun it now works almost perfectly again. And after some extra silicone on the rubber of the camera housing I took my camera down again to 30 meters and no water came in. A lucky day actually! Loosing my camera and thereby also the housing would have been pretty bad (the housing would also be nothing worth afterwards since it is custom-fitted to the camera which is LONG out of sale :-).
The temperatures in Egypt this time of year range from 30 at night an up to almost 40. So the 'strong' wind when at sea is actually a great relief! The water temperatures are slightly lower than in Thailand, but I can still keep warm in my very light clothing while diving.
The boat was totally full of divers from Poland; but very friendly indeed...

The photos of today are from the boat, the dive site, schooling Bannerfish, 'Nemos' in red corals (foggy), Giant Moray Eal (foggy), Triggerfish x 2 (different variants), Stonefish, group of Barracudas, Parrotfish, Butterflyfish, Cornetfish, Scorpionfish, Common Lionfish and a coral landscape.
