Pagodas, traffic chaos, catholic church, city life in Hanoi - and new year coming up

The 3rd of February is the Vietnamese new year, and I will still be here then. So this year I can maybe celebrate new year 3 times; the 'normal' new year, the Vietnamese and the Thai.
Today, I even managed to find a reasonable Thai restaurant in Hanoi - where they even have beer from Thailand.
