Hanoi the Ghost town...

One should imagine that the capital of Vietnam would turn into a big party when it is time to celebrate Chinese / Vietnamese new year. Not...
Instead Hanoi has changed into a ghost town. The streets which are normally totally crowded with motobikes, cars, busses etc are now empty. The shops are all closed and 90% of all restaurants are closed. The relatively many tourists now wander the streets aimlessly without a chance to use money. The few open restaurants even charge an extra 10% because of the new year. Which they can do without no problems since they are all full of tourists.
