Visa and city tour

Today, the embassy finally opened again. And they rejected my educational visa. So in best case I will be given only 2 months visa to Thailand again. I will know tomorrow. And since it is a tourist visa, I may have to leave Thailand afterwards for 3 months before re-entering. Visa rules in Thailand suck.... They have sharpened the rules extremely just within the last year. And the war starting now in the region up to Cambodia really does not help Thailand's reputation as the land of smiles and a welcoming country.... It more and more resembles the military state that it in fact is.

Anyway, I found a really good restaurant in Hanoi yesterday, with extremely good food. Probably the best food I have had on my 1 year journey. In style and quality it resembles the best I have tried in Denmark. The only difference is that in Denmark I may have to pay 100 Euro for a dinner, and in this restaurant, Green Mango, I was paying around 10 Euro, including a glass of brilliant imported wine.

Today I took a small electrical bus which makes a small city tour in Hanoi. I already walked most of the places before, and the electrical open bus was very quiet, but the traffic around the bus certainly is not quiet. The most annoying thing in Hanoi is probably the constant sound of horns in the traffic, which makes your ears hurt every evening if you spent more than 1 hour outside. It is like going to a Who concert every day.

Other photos today show funny fruits as well as a restaurant sign saying that they have FRESH beer. Hmm, I sure hope so ;)
