And then an anecdote which I did not tell before. When I was leaving with airplane from Manila to Boracay, our airplane had a problem. Well, it was a Dash 8 (which have been abandoned by SAS in Scandinavia due to problems with the landing gear - and they sold the airplanes mainly to Philippines!). Now I know why!
We came fine to the runway, but then the brakes of the landing gear on the airplane got stuck. What happens when the brakes on one wheel is stuck on a propeller airplane? The airplane will start rotating... So after turning around like 10 times on the runway (I guess the pilot was trying to get the brakes to loosen up!), then the pilot finally gave up. And after 1 hour (on the main runway of the domestic airport in Manila), a car came to pick us up. Not easy when one wheel has the brakes in stuck position. So we were sliding sideways back to a parking position (with around 70 passengers onboard and a full tank of gasoline). After another 2 hours we were on the way. In another Dash 8 airplane to Boracay ;o)
