Four weeks exactly in Beijing now...

I have now stayed and worked four weeks in Beijing now.
It is going quite well, despite some challenges with public offices, banks etc (I e.g. had to travel 30 kilomters, use half a day, just to get some money that I transferred from Denmark). Many things are not so easy in China as in Denmark, but I am slowly getting used to it, and most of the practical things are now done.
Last week there were three days of Holiday - but instead I had to work both Saturday and Sunday last weekend, so in reality only 1 day off..
The weather for the last few days has been very nice. More than 20 degrees, so this must surely be the spring. Also some of the early plants have started getting flowers, so Beijing is changing right now. Also the wind is a positive thing since it keeps away the terrible smog that there is normally in Beijing. China does not care so much about pollution levels.
The last week there have been visitors from Denmark. Richard and Ditte as well as Pedro and Pia and their two children. We went to a park together and the biggest problem (especially for the children) were the many Chinese that wanted to take photos of them. Not easy to have semi-blond hair in China still ;o).
There were even people swimming in the (cold and very polluted) water, urgh...
I attach some photos from the park etc, but also from an elevator which does not have floor number 4 (since 4 is an unlucky number in China), and I also attach a funny sign in the government visa office ;o). Other photos show people polishing windows starting from 35 floor!
